Hydrogen Shell is an A.I. Exclusive Active Ability in Sonny (2017).
Details[]
Strikes self 1 time, restoring HP with 400% of the caster's Power. This ability applies the buff Hydrogen Shell to the target. Lastly, it has a starting cooldown of 4 turns, which immediately ticks down on the equipped unit's 1st turn, meaning it's available for use on their 4th turn. After this ability has been used, it enters a cooldown of 6 turns.
Caster Buff[]
Hydrogen Shell: Blocks 80% damage for up to 3 attacks, and heals anyone that attacks this unit.
The -80% damage taken modifier is continuous while this buff is active. When the target of this buff is attacked, it will restore the attacker's HP with 50% of the buff caster's Power. A charge is also consumed. When the target of this buff ends their turn, the duration ticks down. This buff starts with 3 charges and a duration of 5 turns when applied.
As this buff is applied to the caster before they end their turn, it's duration will immediately tick down. It also has no pop-up.

Tactics[]
Abilities that can strike multiple times, namely Quick Strike (at max level), Pulse, Chaos Wind and Zakk's Snow Storm, can get rid of the Hydrogen Shell quickly.
Alternatively, the player can choose to burst down units with this ability before they're able to cast this ability.
