The Frost Strain is an unlock-able strain for Sonny in Sonny (2017).
This strain has access to a lot of crowd-controlling abilities, which can often break an enemy's combo. It's also proficient in manipulating Focus, in both gaining and draining. Furthermore, the player will have access to some healing abilities as well, while not as powerful as some other strains (except the Fire Strain), provides other interesting effects. The drawback of this strain is that it has low damage potential, enemies will not die as quickly from this strain.
This strain has only one (de)buff that is only available for Sonny here: Ice Wall. It's a more powerful Stun, but it also increases the target's Defense significantly. Aqua Shield is the only ability available to Sonny that applies Regen, but that buff is also available from the evolution Nourish.
This strain's unique evolution is Fragile, which increases the evolved ability's critical damage by 100%. It shares the same effect with the evolution Impact (+100% crit damage), though the former cannot be evolved on abilities with an element different than Frost. In other words, Frost abilities have a higher chance of getting a +100% crit damage modifier evolution when being evolved, compared to abilities of other elements.
