Expose is a Passive Ability in Sonny (2017). It's available for Sonny from the Physical Strain. This ability applies the aura Expose to the equipped unit.

In-Game Description

Each attack has a X% chance to reduce target's defense by 75% for the next hit it takes.

Details

When the target of this aura hits with an attack that has the same element as the it, Expose has a Y% chance of applying the buff Exposed to the attack target.

Target Buff

Exposed: Defense reduced by 75% for the next hit. (- Defense 75%)

The -75% Defense modifier is continuous while the buff is active. When the target of this buff is hit with an attack, a charge is consumed. When they end their turn, it's duration ticks down. This buff starts with 1 charge and a duration of 3 turns.

Upgrades

Proc chance (Y%) is upgraded:

• Level 1: 20% chance to reduce target's defense
• Level 2: 23% chance to reduce target's defense
• Level 3: 26% chance to reduce target's defense
• Level 4: 29% chance to reduce target's defense
• Level 5: 32% chance to reduce target's defense

Tactics

While the effect is powerful it's unreliable for setups with other abilities since allies often consume the buff charge before Sonny is able to do the next attack.

The buff effect stacks additively with other Defense reducing effects, but the Defense stat will never go below 1.

Trivia

• The Shredder has an ability with the same name and effect, Expose (Enemy Version), that has the Fire element instead. Therefore, it will only proc when Fire abilities are used.
