Disrupt is an Active ability in Sonny (2017). It's available for Sonny from the Lightning Strain.

In-Game Description

Deal X damage and dispel all effects on the target. If used on an ally, will heal them instead. Also grants you Clarity, increasing critical strike chance by 50% for one attack.

Details

Strikes any unit 1 time with a ranged attack, dealing Lightning damage if target is an enemy or restoring HP if target is an ally, with 100% of the caster's Power, multiplied with damage factor Y, and with a +100% Hit. Bonus. When this ability hits, it will dispel up to 10 positive or negative buffs. After it has been used, it applies the buff Clarity to the caster. Lastly, it also enters a cooldown of 4 turns.

Caster Buff

Clarity: Critical strike chance increased by 50% for the next attack. (+ Crit Chance)

The +50% Crit. Chance modifier is continuous while the buff is active. When the target of this buff strikes with an ability, a charge is consumed. When the target ends their turn, the duration ticks down. This buff starts with 1 charge and a duration of 3 turns. It's also considered to be a positive buff.

As this buff is applied to the caster before they end their turn, it's duration immediately ticks down after this ability has been used.

Upgrades

Damage factor (Y) is upgraded.

• Level 1: Multiplied with damage factor 1.15 (115% Power)
• Level 2: Multiplied with damage factor 1.3 (130% Power)
• Level 3: Multiplied with damage factor 1.45 (145% Power)
• Level 4: Multiplied with damage factor 1.6 (160% Power)
• Level 5: Multiplied with damage factor 1.75 (175% Power)

Tactics

This ability and Arc Flash makes an deadly combo, due to the buff both increasing Crit. Chance and also triggering the latter's reaction.

Trivia

• The enemy ability Area Purge, used by Hammertron, is similar to this ability. However, the former hits all targets and only dispels buff.
• On Krin Juangbhanich's Twitter account at 2013, he posted concepts for abilities, with Disrupt being one of them. It had an icon similar to Pulse. This ability would have removed every buff from the target with its damage being based on what buffs the enemy had.
