Chemical Injection is an A.I. Exclusive Active Ability in Sonny (2017).

Details[]

Strikes a party member 1 time, recovering HP with 200% of the caster's Power, using the Lightning element. This ability also applies the positive buff Mutation to the target. If the target has less than 35% HP, this ability will damage the caster with -250% of the ability's total scaling (500% Power scaling). This ability has a starting cooldown of 2 turns, which immediately ticks down on the equipped unit's 1st turn, meaning it's available for use on their 2nd turn. After it has been used, this ability enters a cooldown of 5 turns.

This ability's total scaling is always negative due to being an healing ability, hence why the reaction will damage the caster despite having negative scaling itself.

Target Buff[]

Mutation: Gain 100% power and 50% damage resist. Speed decreased by 40%, and taking X damage each turn. (+ Power 100%)

The stat modifiers are continuous while the buff is active. When the target of this buff ends their turn, they take damage with 200% of the caster's Power, and a charge is consumed. The duration also ticks down. This buff starts with a duration of 3 turns when appplied. It's also considered to be a positive buff.

Tactics[]

Applying the Slow or Snare buff to a target with the Mutation buff will significantly reduce their Hit Chance, as long as they don't have Hit. Bonuses from other sources.

Trivia[]

  • The buff this ability applies is coded with 99 charges and a duration of 3 turns. Both of them are reduced by 1 when the target ends their turn, hence why it's real duration is 3 turns.
