Break is an Active Ability in Sonny (2017). It's available for Sonny from the Physical Strain.

In-Game Description[]

Deal X damage and stun the target for one turn.

Details[]

Strikes an enemy 1 time, dealing Physical damage with 110% of the caster's Power + 30, multiplied with damage factor Y. If this ability hits, it applies the buff Stun to the target. After this ability has been used, it enters a cooldown of 4 turns.

Target Buff[]

Stun: Unit is stunned and cannot act.

When the target of this buff ends their turn, a charge is consumed. This buff always starts with 1 charge. It's also considered to be a negative buff.

Upgrades[]

  • Level 1: Multiplied with damage factor 1.05 (115.5% Power + 31.5)
  • Level 2: Multiplied with damage factor 1.1 (121% Power + 33)
  • Level 3: Multiplied with damage factor 1.15 (126.5% Power + 34.5)
  • Level 4: Multiplied with damage factor 1.2 (132% Power + 36)
  • Level 5: Multiplied with damage factor 1.25 (137.5% Power + 37.5)

Tactics[]

Stuns are very useful since it can be used to deny or delay a powerful attack, such as an enemy affected by Berserk or the Venommancer's Super Venom. It can also be used to buy time for Sonny and his allies to recover health.

Beware that some bosses have stun resistance.

Trivia[]

  • This is the only skill used by Sonny that has flat added damage.
  • The debuff this ability applies is one of few that doesn't have a buff pop-up.
