MOD for SONNY 2017
A NEW SONNY
By changing the ingame file I managed to change the gameplay. I changed the enemies, allies, fights some abilities and also added new abilities, enemies (new enemies on Zone 7) and fights. The Strains have 2 more abilities and I gave the enemies new abilities for example the Worker can now use Flame Jet. You will realize the new changes when you arrive in Zone 3 . Enemies are now stronger and harder to defeat. Sonny (2017) Zone 0+1 Abilities Done!
The abilities used by the enemies in Zone 0 and Zone 1 in Sonny (2017) now have their own pages!
I also updated the pages for some of the strain abilities, those that were used by some enemies from the mentioned zones. I'll do this in the future as well when I tackle the later zones. Furthermore, I'm not going to do certain abilities that appear in a certain zone, if they also appear in other zones. In the case of Zone 0 and 1, the abilities of ZPCI Elite and Cpt. Vendara (as well as ZPCI Striker, ZPCI Medic & ZPCI Trident when I get that far) will be handled when I reach Zone 7. Fire Spit, used by the Firespitter (obviously), will be handled in Zone 3.

A couple of weeks ago, a Discord server that was dedicated to Sonny was formed and it got the name of it being the Unofficial Official Sonny Wiki Discord Server due to its discussions of the wiki there.

Ally Abilities Done!
The abilities used by Sonny's allies in Sonny (2017) now have their own pages!
It's been a while since I wrote one of these... I've been busy with creating the Attributes and Glitches pages for Sonny 2017, and a few new templates as well. However, it was after making these that I realised that making the A.I. ability pages first before other "Game Mechanic" pages made more sense. So I started right away! Apologies for those that expected new "Game Mechanic" pages! For now I plan to add all A.I. abilities first.
But before that, the usual:

Opinion poll: Old vs New!
Regarding the Flash games, which set do you prefer and why? Personally I like the new look in Sonny 2, it's more professional and modern, but I prefer the old one's M4 with the red laser.

I do.
This is the "secret" project I mentioned on my previous post (or previous 2, dunno...). The data sheet I just shared contains just about everything stat related to Sonny (2017). It's a .7z archive, you'd need 7zip or something similar to extract it. The archive contains just one file, .ods, which most common sheet editors, LibreOffice, Excel, Google Drive et.c. should be able to open (though if you do get problems, try LibreOffice as that was used when creating it).
The data sheets contains:
- Formulae (related to stats)
- Unit data (Sonny, allies and enemies)
- Item data
- Stage data
- And more :)
I made this sheet because the game code stores this data kinda here and there, which made finding them a bit tedious. So I collected all stat-related data …
Bosses tier list
My friend "givemeapackingname" and I have discussed making a tier list to rank bosses in Sonny (2017) and now that he's posted his I'll do so as well.
They're ranked by aesthetics, difficulty and uniqueness; And are obviously heavily objective to my own opinion of them on my first playthrough (I also may forget some fights).
- CELESTIA
- There's hardly anything that I like about her. She has buildup to the battle throughout the zone but when you actually meet her it's... anticlimactic. The fact is she could've actually been quite challenging were it not for the fact she literally buffs you by giving you Berserk and free turns, you could be facing increasingly stronger waves of her combo attacks to get that blood pressure goin' but you waste away …
Sonny 2017 boss ranking
Boss ranking, in terms of difficulty or how hard is it to beat them.
Be aware that bosses become much easier the second time you fight them, since you've already known what are their tricks. This tier list is created mainly based on my experience the first time i meet them, which also means that it is also affected by which strains you pick.
How to be considered a boss:
- Be at least Zone 3+
- Unique to a certain level
- Looks cool
Also, one last thing, i kinda forgot some bosses' names and gimmicks.
- Grosk: There's nothing about him that is dangerous, like i don't even remember what he does, literally.

Sonny 2017 - Tips
I consider these tips general and pretty accurate in any situation:
- Don't underestimate Physical: a common mistakes. Players tend to enjoy new strains with new skills and stuff, but can't realize the potential of the classic strain. Physical strain is a jack-of-all-trades with a toolkit for a lot of situations. Enemy with high DEF? Wound or Drill Strike. Healer? Iron Slam. Fast DPS? Cripple and Break.
- Save up skill points: a late game tip. Always try to save up skill points, if possible, for a band-aid against certain targets. Respec is an option, but it consumes some some cash and time repicking the entire the skill tree. Of course, you should still get all 8 skills to maximize potential and upgrade some significant things such as Blast or …
Shadow Strain Done!
Which of course means that all of Sonny (Sonny 2017)'s abilities now have their own pages! I just realised that I've created about 70 new pages for this wiki (not counting the ones created by others), and I feel really ducking great! While there isn't an achievement for this, I actually managed to snag the 19th "Baron's Wrath" Badge after I added the last two abilities (Curse & Blend). What impeccable timing I must say lol... Also, before I forget: (a late) Happy New Year!

sonny 2017 strain combo
Some strain combos i have found up til now:
- Ice + Earth: Ice gives extra defense, which is basically damage for Earth. Addtionally, Earth has a skill which applies Venom and bypass defense which is perfect when combined with Ice Wall
- Earth + Shadow: Earth's regen skill can negate Dark Pact's negative life drain. Addtionally, Shadow's deflecting trait pairs well with the healling skills.
- Shadow + Fire: Double AoE skills can easily wipe out minor enemies.
- Fire + Ice: Ice charge + Blast combo to nuke. Additionally, Both Coldsnap and Phoenix triggers by crits, so Cruelty will be a stone that hít 2 birds.

I've finished the legend run using Fire/Nature. Zone 8 happened to be really difficult as well, so I had to adjust my strategy a bit. Too bad there wasn't an achievement for completing a Legend Run. Right now I'm doing a Legend Run using Physical Strain only, to get more achivements (namely Physiotherapy and Adamant). It's going well, for now.
As usual I'll begin with some Nature Strain info:
- Venom Claw's buff lasts for 5 turns.
- Constrict has a hidden +100% Hit Chance bonus.
- Unlike the majority of the continuous debuffs, Synthesis triggers at the start of the turn, not the end.
- Harmony applies Empower when fully procced.
- Stone Form's buff lasts for 4 turns, not 2. Thoug…

EDIT 2020-12-20: I forgot to add the actual values for the Zone Levels, and some additional info about item drops. I've marked edits with "EDIT".
EDIT 2 2020-12-21: +100% Hit Chance bonus doesn't mean automatically that the ability is unavoidable, forgot that the Blind debuff existed (though you need to have very low speed and be blinded to see Hit Chances below 100%)

Recently I realized that there are no talk pages for any of the articles on this great wiki. Nor is there the option to make one. Odd.
178 Story Scenes...
... and 1637 lines of dialogue/system stuff, now available at pastebin over here.
I've copied and pasted every scene and dialogue in Sonny (2017) and made a new .txt file. The reason I did this instead of sharing the original file is that I was worried that I might get into trouble for sharing decrypted game files of a paid game. I might just be a tad bit paranoid though.
I've also written for almost each scene when it happens (like, during/after which fight in which zone). This info was only available in the game code, the script file only contained the ID for each scene. For some reason though I can't find some of the ID:s in the code, and thus had to kind of guess when they happen. The mentioned scenes are the ones tagged "Return to hub a…
Frorst Strain Done!
EDIT 2020-12-21: I was a bit incorrect about Ice Wall being the only ability with upgrade type Power Factor and had scalings from stats other than Power. I forgot that Energize from the Lightning Strain has Speed scaling and Power Factor upgrade type, so it's affected the same way as Ice Wall.
All Frost strain abilities now have their own page! 2 down, 4 more to go!
The Frost strain is very powerful, I've managed to beat the game with a Legend Run using it only. I didn't bring Frost Charge or Ice Wall (Sonny 2017) since they could trivialize the run, instead I heavily relied on Focus draining. Though Coldsnap evolved with Fury + max level Fragment is a nasty combo itself.

Physical Strain Done!
All Physical Strain abilities now have their own page!
I'm going to fix them up first before moving on to writing the Fire Strain.
Summary of hidden bits of info about the Physical Strain:
- Guard & Iron Slam has a duration of 4 turns, not 3.
- Expose only works with abilities of the same element as it (Physical for Sonny, Fire for the Shredder)
Observations I've made:
- Some evolutions which modify scalings or damage dealt are inconsistent with what their description states. For ex: Amplify does exactly what it says, Increasing the power (scaling) of this ability by 30%. (Note that scaling modifiers are additive!). Final Hour states Gain 100% power on targets with less than 50% Hp. But it doesn't increase the power scaling by +100% at all. It will increase …
I'm Back, Finally
I know I already said something to this effect in a comment on one of the pages, but I figured a better place for a discussion of that sort would be here instead. So with the release of the new Sonny game on steam, I've found myself missing having a comprehensive reference to use to plan builds and such, so I figured I may as well come back and help make one :)
As for why I haven't been active for the last four or five years, the only excuse I can offer is that I've been focused on uni work for that time. I still am, in fact, so I probably can't be quite as active as I once was for the next 8 months or so, but I'll try and be as active a contributor as I can be in the interest of getting some decent information up about the new Sonny game.

Added new page!

Buff Icons automatically generate in the template "Template;Infobox ability"
I don't know why this makes me so excited, but it is exciting nonetheless.
Infoboxes will now generate the icon for ability buffs automatically, which now means that you don't have to take screenshots of the ability buffs in-game and upload them to the wiki when you fill out the infobox!

It's just one of those "quality of life" changes that I think will help out immensely. Especially if and when *cough* SONNY 3 *cough* a new Sonny title comes out.

Adding Pictures
To me, there seems to be a problem when adding pictures:
For example:
When I was editing an article, I added 10 pictures to it. However, when I view recent history, it shows that I only added like 6 pictures. Also, when I check my badge for adding pictures, the number before the slash only increased by 6 and not by 10.
Is there a reason why this happens?

Navboxes and tabs
I've been giving some thought to how to do the navbox for Sonny 2 AI skills. Given the amount of skills, a standard navbox wouldn't work; it would end up being as long as the Sonny 2 Enemies navbox, but without being divided up into sections. A basically-unreadable wall of text, in other words.
The solution I came up with is multiple navboxes: A-D, E-I, J-R and S-Z. But the only way I can think of to display one navbox with easy access to others is tabs, which don't appear to be enabled on this wiki.

Linking to items
I said I would add an easier way to link to items on the item pages without requiring a redirect page for every item.

This also works for all unobtainable items. There's a few of them that share names with obtainable items (Engineering Gloves, Navy Boots, Frosted Leggings, Metal Shield, Riot Shield). Same method applies here, with the default being the obtainable item.
I am trying to work out a way to link to Tool, Stick and Surgery Blade, which have multiple items on the same page. This method should work for every other item, unless I made a typo on the template.
Navbox Templates
After searching through various Wikis looking for codes, I've finally finished the templates that are going to provide more convenience for the readers. Navbox Templates are designed to make it easier for the readers to navigate through the list of relavant pages. I've created 10 of them; 1 for characters, 1 for classes, 1 for locations, 2 for enemies, 4 for Ability Trees, and 1 for items.
I am going to start adding them to the respective pages (Done). Feel free to comment on these templates if the need requires. Also, you can make suggestions on which other group of pages need Navbox Templates.

More on attribute boxes...
I looked in the coding of Sonny 2. It would seem that attributes do not follow the same simple A + BxLV formula as in Sonny. I'm not going to go into the complex mathematical details involved, but I'll let you know the calculation involves LV6 and different formulas for different levels. The only way I'm going to be able to put these on the page is as a table giving the attributes at each level the unit is found at, which makes it fortunate Sonny 2 has a level cap. My question is, should I convert the Sonny enemies to the same format, once I design it, just leaving Illusion and Royal Courier as formulas? State of the wiki - 6 May, 2012
Currently I am the only active and reasonably frequent user on the wiki since Kai 12 left, and even I don't have very much time for the wiki at the moment. Mostly, I am compiling information externally about the Sonny games when I have the time (rarely), which is partly why I don't edit the wiki much nowadays. I am, however, planning on seeing it through to completion eventually, and more contributors would be helpful... even if you just stop by to create part of a page.
More users needed!
This wiki needs more users! Recommend it to anyone you think might be interested.
