Arctic Strike is a Basic Attack ability in Sonny (2017). It's available for Sonny from the Frost Strain.
In-Game Description[]
Deal X damage with a Y% chance to Slow the target.
Details[]
Strikes an enemy 1 time with a ranged attack, dealing Frost with 85% of the caster's Power. When this ability hits, it has a Y% chance of applying the buff Slow to the target.
Target Buff[]
Slow: Speed reduced by 35%. (- Speed 35%)
The -35% Speed modifier is continuous while the buff is active. When the target of this buff ends their turn, a charge is consumed. This buff starts with 2 charges, and gains an extra charge if the target doesn't already have this buff, of the same element. This buff is also considered to be a negative buff.

Proc Chance (Y%) is upgraded:
- Level 1: 20% chance to slow
- Level 2: 25% chance to slow
- Level 3: 30% chance to slow
- Level 4: 35% chance to slow
- Level 5: 40% chance to slow

- Fury: Increases the chance of applying the buff, but also introduces a chance of it having a reduced duration due to being applied twice.
- Stagger: Can drain focus at every turn due to being a Basic Attack.
Trivia[]
- Out of all strain abilities that applies the Slow buff, this ability is the only one that isn't guaranteed to apply it to the enemy target.
- Cripple always applies Slow on hit
- While Ice Spike can also fail to apply on non-crits, Sonny's Crit. Chance can be increased to 100% using items, buffs, or simply upgrading the ability.
